Dr. Shanon Brooks is the Director of the Center for American Legacy Studies. He is the author of AMERICAN: Killing the American Dream and A Thomas Jefferson Education for Teens.

For over 30 years, Brooks helped to found and run two alternative education colleges with an emphasis on the Five American Ideals. He has extensive experience in farming both in livestock and vegetable crops. He was responsible for a 40-acre chicken farm at the age of 14, and worked on a dairy for several years. He farmed his entire childhood and into young adulthood until he began his two year religious service followed by his military service in the United States Submarine Fleet.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, a Master’s degree in education, and a Ph.D. in constitutional law.
